DALLAS — Marie Hayes Brown passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012. She was 93.

Mrs. Brown was born in Clarke County to Luther and Clara Hayes on Dec. 7, 1918. She was the widow of the late William A. Brown of Natchez. The family had lived in Vicksburg for many years before moving to Natchez.

Survivors include her son, Jim Brown of Dallas; a daughter, Virginia Brown Muttera of Dallas; a grandson, Tom Muttera of California; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Lindsey Pinckard of Dallas; and sister-in-law, Betty Brown Anders of Fayette.

She was laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez, Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012.

She is remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins as Auntie Ree with the twinkling eyes and sweet smile.
