The Southern Cultural Heritage Center has scheduled two art classes in September with instructor Nancy Mitchell. The “More Than a Painting” classes will include a couples class, painting in the style of David Hockney, Sept. 19 with a cost is $70 per couple for members and $80 for nonmembers and a class for individuals, painting in the style of Van Gogh, Sept. 20 with a cost of $40 for members and $45 for nonmembers. Supplies are included.

Classes will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m and will include basics about composition and color mixing.
