Lillie Mae Harris

Lillie Mae Harris died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Covenant Health & Rehab. She was 91.
She was retired from the Vicksburg Steam Laundry and the Sydney House Convalescent Home and was a member of Shiloh M.B. Church, where she was a member of the women’s auxiliary and the usher board.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Jones and Nancy Valentine Taylor; husband, Joseph Harris; a son, Barry Harris; two daughters, Betty Frentz and Jacueline Harris; two brothers, Eugene Smith and Leon Smith; and two sisters, Willie Mae Cotton and Margurite Jones.
Survivors include a son, Charles Harris of Antioch, Calif.; four daughters, Ernestine Banks and Eunice Jackson-Harris, both of Vicksburg, Patricia Tshihamba of Washington, D.C., and Carol Smith of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Shiloh M. B. Church with the Rev. Willie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 this evening at the funeral home.
