Terry Winschel, who retired last month as historian for the Vicksburg National Military Park, plays with his 4-year-old grandson, Donovan Winschel, son of Bert and Melissa Winschel, at the Splash Park at Catfish Row near City Front. Winschel said he now has more time to spend with his grandson, whose father is deployed with the Marine Corps.
