Charles W. Taylor

Charles W. Taylor died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.
Mr. Taylor was born in Vicksburg and was the son of the late James Wesley Taylor and Myrlee Kirkley Taylor. He was a graduate of Redwood High School and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Taylor was an avid outdoorsman with a devotion for hunting and nature. He owned and operated Jolly Heating and Air Conditioning prior to his retirement. Mr. Taylor was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stacy Eugene Taylor; two sisters, Bernice Louise Taylor Kuhnert and Rosalie Taylor Murray; and a sister-in-law, Myra Ervin Willis.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Martha Taylor of Vicksburg; sons, Charles B. Taylor of Vicksburg and James W. Taylor (Heather) of Flowood; two grandchildren, Kelsey Elizabeth Lewis and Kaitlin Devon Taylor; great-grandson, Gavin Lane Lewis; two brothers, Lawrence James Taylor (Zula) of Flowood and John Carroll Taylor (Melba) of Vicksburg; sister-in-law, Julie A. Ervin of Vicksburg; and two brothers-in-law, Sidney C. Ervin (Pat) of Vicksburg and Malcolm Ervin (Debbie) of Bossier City, La.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. Thursday at Riles Funeral Home.
