10 sentenced in Warren, 1 in Sharkey

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:
• Simon Atkins, 29, 2416 Halls Ferry Road, pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling and was sentenced by Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to five years in prison, followed by five years’ probation, a $1,000 fine, $2,500 restitution and $1,384.50 in costs. Atkins was indicted in October.
• James Chaloux, 34, 4936 Warriors Trail, was found guilty of violating a nonadjudicated sentence to Ninth Circuit Drug Court for possession of a controlled substance and sentenced by Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick to short-term alcohol and drug treatment followed by one year of house arrest. Chaloux was indicted in 2009.
• Elijah Caine, 34, 107 Pemberton St., was found guilty of violating probation for a 2009 conviction for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and sentenced by Patrick to the Hinds County Restitution Center to pay delinquent fines and fees followed by probation for a period not to exceed 10 years. Caine had been indicted in August 2009.
• Matthew Dill, 30, 114 Hawkins St., pleaded guilty to third-offense shoplifting and was sentenced by Chaney to the Ninth Circuit Drug Court for a period not to exceed five years and was ordered to pay $1,134.50 in costs. Dill was indicted in July.
• Jeffery Eatmon, 32, 2816 Drummond St., was found guilty of violating probation from a 2009 conviction for possession of cocaine. He was sentenced by Patrick to 10 years in prison. Eatmon had been indicted in January 2009.
• J.B. Hoskins Jr., 40, no address available, pleaded guilty to sale of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Chaney to two years in prison followed by five years’ probation, a $5,000 fine and $684.50 in costs. Hoskins had been indicted in May 2011.
• Jennifer Hughes, 32, 4401 Lee Road, pleaded guilty to sexual battery of a minor between the ages of 14 and 16 and was sentenced by Chaney to five years’ probation, a $1,500 fine and $1,684.50 in costs. Hughes had been indicted in January.
• Jonathan Troy Grogan, 20, 1802 Vicklan St., was found guilty of violating probation from a 2010 conviction for burglary and was sentenced by Patrick to the Hinds County Restitution Center to pay $3,822.50 in delinquent fines and fees followed by the Ninth Circuit Drug Court for a period not to exceed five years.
• William Taylor, 23, no address available, was found guilty of violating nonadjudicated probation from a 2011 conviction for possession of a stolen firearm and receiving stolen property. He was sentenced by Patrick to five years in prison. Taylor had been indicted in July 2011.
• Walter Vinton Tedeton, 50, 4813 Nailor Road, was found guilty of violating probation for a 2010 conviction for false pretense and sentenced by Patrick to three years in prison, which will include extended alcohol and drug treatment. Tedeton was indicted in January 2009.
