Presidential election will define us as a nation

I had been able to maintain a certain level of optimism about the political climate in our country up until the Democratic National Convention earlier this month.

That optimism was based on the thought that after the rank-and-file Democratic party members understood what has been happening to our country they would be ready for a change of leadership in Washington.

My optimism was destroyed when the name of God was excluded from the party platform. Next the delegates were asked to reinstate the name of God and voted three times not to do so. To say that not all Democrat voters believe that way is meaningless, the majority of the delegates voted that way.

I don’t think we will surive as a nation if the current occupant of the White House is re-elected. He is the leader of the Democratic Party and is leading us into a Godless society.

This election will define our future as a nation and as individuals.
