Boy Scouts of America Troop 102 members Hunter Hughes, 13, front, and Andrew Ulmer, 12, salute the American flag during the bell ringing ceremony for Constitution Day Monday at the Old Court House Museum — Eva W. Davis Memorial. Representatives from the Ashmead Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution put together the program to commemorate the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. Hunter is the son of Brooke Butler and J.J. Hughes, and Andrew is the son of Terri and Robert Ulmer. Below, members of Troop 102 and Girl Scout Troop 5107, with 12-year-old Elizabeth Cowan in front, prepare the flags for the ceremony. The speaker for the annual event was Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney, back right. Elizabeth is the daughter of Jennifer and Mark Cowan.
