Eagles thumped by Benton

Porters Chapel Academy’s winning streak was stopped at one.
Benton Academy jumped out to a 21-point lead by halftime Friday night, and went on to rout the Eagles 40-0.
Running back Peter Harris rushed for 75 yards, but the Eagles never got into a rhythm. They turned it over twice and had several drives stall out just inside Benton territory.
It was a disappointing setback for PCA (2-3), which had crushed district rival Park Place last week but has now lost three of its last four games. The Eagles will try to rebound next week when they host Ben’s Ford in a District 4-A contest.
“They out-physicaled us like I knew they had a chance to do,” PCA coach Wade Patrick said. “We didn’t play the way I wanted, from a physical standpoint. We played hard. But right now, we’re not
playing hard against the physical teams.”
