A Vicksburg man was treated at River Region Medical Center after being shot in a buttock Tuesday.

John Taylor Jr., 20, 1501 Military Ave., was walking outside the Five Star Food Mart, 1108 Bowmar Ave., when three men in a maroon vehicle got out and fired four shots at him at about 5:50 p.m., Vicksburg police Capt. Bobby Stewart said. The vehicle fled west on Bowmar Avenue, Stewart said.

After being shot, Taylor walked to a house at 2711 Drummond St. where a resident called 911.

Stewart said no motive or suspects had been found this morning.

Hospital spokesman Allen Karel said Taylor was treated and released.
