Rev. Tom Grady Marshall

The Rev. Tom Grady Marshall, age 89, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation in Vicksburg will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Glenwood Funeral Home with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church of Vicksburg. Interment will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Marshall was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Eden, Holmes County, Miss., to Tom Cox and Tommie Lee Taylor Marshall. He was an ordained minister of the United Pentecostal Church International for approximately 60 years. Tom served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving five Battle Stars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leila Mae Conrad Marshall; a great-grandson, Roman Marshall; and eight siblings, Admal, Herbert, James, Buford, J.T., Leona Champion, Martha Nixon and Eva Tatum.

He is survived by four children, Gayle Ellard and husband Wayne of Greenville, Dawn Graves and husband Kendall of Iowa Park, Texas, Brenda Delmas and husband Mark of Athens, Ala., and Gary Marshall and wife Karen of Jasper, Texas; sister, Grace Fields of Vicksburg; and a brother, Irvin Marshall of Nederland, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
