Five men plead guilty in Warren County Circuit Court

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:

• Raymond Guin, 39, 3365 U.S. 61 South, Lot 19, pleaded guilty to simple assault of an officer and was sentenced by 9th Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to four years’ probation, a $1,000 fine, $1,123.54 restitution and $384.50 in costs.

Guin was indicted in October.

• Victor Parsons, 38, 145 Ironwood Drive, pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated assault and was sentenced by Chaney to seven years in prison followed by five years’ probation, a $3,000 fine and $384.50 in costs.

Parsons was indicted in January.

• Kevin Smith, 35, 145 Vilardo Road, Tallulah, pleaded guilty to burglary and grand larceny and was sentenced by Chaney to two years to include extended alcohol and drug treatment followed by three years’ probation, a $1,000 fine, $1,184 restitution and $384.50 in costs.

Smith was indicted in July.

• William Taylor, 49, 312 China St., pleaded guilty to vehicle burglary and was sentenced by Chaney to 241 days of time served followed by four years’ probation, a $1,000 fine, $283.13 restitution and $394.50 in costs.

Taylor was indicted in January.

• Larry Turner, 51, 820 Harris St., pleaded guilty to sale of cocaine and was sentenced by Chaney to six years in prison followed by five years’ probation, a $5,000 fine and $684.50 in costs. Turner was indicted in July.
