Williams weds Singleton at Mount Carmel

Lemond Williams and Tanna Nicole Singleton were married at 4 p.m. July 21, 2012, at Mount Carmel Ministries. Bishop Konnie Crudup officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John and Marcelina Singleton of Vicksburg. The groom is the son of the late Dexter Lewis and Ruthie Williams of Vicksburg.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were lilac, silver and white. Nuptial music was presented by Charlotte Price and Henry Hunter.
Maid of honor was Ruby Smith of Atlanta. Matron of honor was Anna Howie of Camden, Md.
Bridesmaids were Toni Fisher, Latoya Lumpkin and Mary O’Neal, all of Vicksburg; Gabrielle Singleton of Memphis; Andria Cooke of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and Nicole Pegues of New Jersey.
Isaac Williams and Tony Haggard, both of Vicksburg, served as best men. Groomsmen were Marcell Moore of Detroit and Ricky Butler Jr., Daniel Harris, Joseph Harris, Christopher Smith and Johnny Williams, all of Vicksburg.
Ushers were Timothy Griffin of Jackson and Brian Williams of Memphis.
Flower girls were Kaylen Williams and Jamya Edison, both of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was Lynn Williams III of Jackson.
Junior bride was Genesis Edmond. Karl Michael Singleton served as junior groom.
Special wedding assistant was Shannon Parson. Other assistants were Joshua Edison, Fredrick Bowman, Otha Jones, Georgia Dent, Davis Singleton, Betty Flaggs, Gail Martin and Cynthia Gibson.
A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus. Hostesses were Ja’Erika Carr, Lasia Collins, Javia Lockett, April O’Neal, Freddy Reed, Diane Shelton, Danielle Williams and Wanda Williams.
For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to the Bahamas.
They will make their home in Vicksburg. The groom is employed at Batesville Casket.
