Elsie White Segers died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 79.

Mrs. Segers was born in Fountain Hill, Ark., and had been a Vicksburg resident since 1971.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Segers Sr.; and a son, Raymond Segers.

She is survived by a daughter, Rhae Nix of Oxford; three sons, Douglas Segers Jr., Danny Segers and Mark Segers, all of Vicksburg; two sisters, Mary Deckelman of Memphis and Maxine Dixon of Alma, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Curtis, pastor of Warrenton Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John-Michael Hanks, Victor Segers, Derek Segers, Ryan Segers, Daniel Moulder and Randy Brasfield.
