Two Vicksburg artist, Mary Qasim and Elke Briuer, won awards at the Mississippi Artists Guild 2012 juried exhibition.

Qasim won best in show and second place in the mixed media category.

Briuer won first place in the mixed media category and first place in acrylic.

The show, which features more than 200 works by Mississippi Artist Guild members will hang in the Mississippi Art Center, 201 E. Pascagoula St., through Oct. 31.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
