PORT GIBSON — Ernest Brown Jr. died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at his home in Port Gibson. He was 68.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Gladys Lane Brown of Port Gibson; two daughters, Trista Johnson and Jasmine Brown, both of Port Gibson; a brother, Ellison Brown of Port Gibson; six sisters, Dorothy Jones, Pearlia Rankin and Debadee Bozeman, all of Port Gibson, Patricia McConnico of Boston, Maryetta McNary of Three Rivers, Mich., and Barbara Brown of New York, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and an aunt, two uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ashland M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Richard Cruel officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.
