Betty Kent White

HOLLANDALE — Betty Kent “BetBet” White died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. She was 66.

Mrs. White was born and reared in Delta City and attended school in Anguilla. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Millard Caulder officiating. Burial will follow in Hollandale Cemetery in Hollandale with Glenwood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitations will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She is survived by two sons, James Kent and wife, Latisha, of Rolling Fork and George Kent of Glen Allan; two daughters, Kim Kent of Rolling Fork and Mandy White Kelly and husband, Micheal, of Belzonia; five sisters, Mary Elizabeth Cooper of Glen Allan, Sarah Lee Cooper of Glen Allan, Katie Lou Evers and husband, Charles, of Greenville, Annie Tharp of Grenville and Jean Bland of Greenville; five grandchildren, J.R. Kent, Jonathon Kent, Jeremy Kent, Maddie Kelly and Kayla Kelly; four nieces; and five nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Katie Kent; a sister, Lillian Vineryard, and a great-nephew, Dusty Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at the Bank of Anguilla to offset funeral expenses.
