Alice Inez “MiMi” Lewis died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 88.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Atmore, Ala., and had lived in Vicksburg since 1952. She was a member of Bovina Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Huston Lewis Sr.; parents, James and Julia Wright; sisters, Maggie Byrd, Laverne Burt, Murial Coleman and Maud Eddins; and brothers, Cecil Wright, Carl Wright, Bill Wright and Earl Wright.
Survivors include two sons, Charles J. Lewis of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and N.H. “Butch” Lewis Jr. of Minden, La.; a daughter, Carol Elliott of Clinton; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Chaz Rowland officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bill Arrington, Brian Parker, Jerry Stuart, Lee Bruce, Jason Thompson, Wesley Jones, Mike Coomes and Keith May.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Lewis, Allen Elliott, N.H. “Dusty” Lewis III, Scott Weaver, Thomas David “Dave” Elliott, Kevin Nevels, Dee Dee Brinkley, Brian Nevels and Drs. John Barnes and Feras Hamadeh.
