Williams, Shelby exchange vows Sept. 29

Edgar Dale Williams Jr. and Heather Lauren Shelby were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 29, 2012, at Hawkins United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tommy Miller officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lamar Shelby of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Day of Vicksburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Shelby of Valley Park.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Dale Williams of Taylorsville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Gentry of Collins and Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Williams of Ruleville.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Nuptial music was presented by Ann Perrier, pianist.

Maid of honor was Kristi Selby of Vicksburg. Matron of honor was Lindsay Carruth of Vicksburg.

Bridesmaids were Kelley Taylor and Andrea Brown, both of Pontotoc; Haley Jones of Flowood; Jenny Smyly of Oxford; Lane Maxcy of Southaven; Mandy Jackson of Mantachie; Kayla Adcock of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and Kristi Prillhart of Florence, Ala.

Dale Williams of Taylorsville served as best man. Groomsmen were Jay Gentry and Tyler Gentry, both of Wiggins; Tony Klingler IV of Flora; Nathan Evans of Pearl; Michael Dubose of Collierville; Andrew Williams of Greenwood; Rocky Shoemake of Collins; Sean McGowan of Rosenberg, Texas; David Stagg of Frisco, Texas; Bryan Van Bavel of Gainesville, Ga.; and Josh Tinsley and Ben Schmotz, both of Dawsonville, Ga.

Flower girl was Addison Kate Lum of Eagle Lake. Ring bearer was Brody Williams of Richton.

Special wedding assistant was Erin Hern. Alicia Embry and Kathy Lum served as program/registry attendants.

A reception followed at Wilsonwood Lodge. Hostesses were Jan Daigre, Claiborne Bryant, Teresa Jones, Cindy Park and Denise Franco.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Maui, Hawaii. They will make their home in Vaughan, Miss.

The bride is employed at Summit Health and Rehab, and the groom is employed with Valley Services Inc.

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Wilsonwood Lodge.

Lindsay Carruth and Kristi Shelby honored the bride with a bachelorette weekend and lingerie shower in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Tony Klingler and Nathan Evans hosted a fishing trip for the groom in Arkansas.

The groom was honored with a tool shower at his home in Vaughan hosted by Tony Klingler.

Alicia Embry and Kathy Lum honored the bride with a shower at the Lum home in Brandon.

The bride was honored with a shower at Redbone United Methodist Church of Vicksburg. Hostesses were Sara Dionne, Cindy Crevitt and Alicia Embry.
