HARRISTON — Mary Marie Davis died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Christus St. Joseph’s Home in Monroe, La. She was 91.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Fellowship M.B. Church where she was a member of the choir and the Willing Workers Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and May Lou White Davis; three brothers, Major Davis Sr., Frank Davis Jr. and Vernell Davis Sr.; and a sister, Joanna Davis.
Survivors include three sons, Rufus Davis Sr., Michael R. Davis and John A. Davis, all of Harriston; three daughters, Cordelia A. Barnes of Fayette, Charlene Scott of Monroe and Frances Lashley of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; one sister, Hazel Louisville of Jackson; seven brothers, Norah Davis of Los Angeles, the Rev. Robert Davis of Inglewood, Calif., Earl E. Davis of Long Beach, Calif., Edward Davis of Houston, Texas, Tommie Stuart and the Rev. Eugene Stuart, both of Hamburg, and Vincent Buck of Pattison; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fellowship M.B. Church in Lorman with the Rev. David Scott officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
