A Vicksburg man accused of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell was in Warren County Jail this morning without bond pending his initial court appearance Tuesday.

Johnny Perkins, 37, 780 U.S. 61 North Apt. 6F, was eastbound on Interstate 20 in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix when he was stopped for a traffic violation, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said. Perkins could not produce a driver’s license and the vehicle’s license tag had been switched. Perkins was arrested and, when deputies searched the vehicle, they found several bags of marijuana and cocaine in a drink cup in the console, Pace said.
