Michael Cameron Morris

Michael Cameron Morris died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012. He was 52.

Born in Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Morris was a former resident of Houston, Texas, and had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 20 years. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in petroleum and chemical engineering and participated with the Bulldog football team at MSU.

Mr. Morris was a member of Crawford Street United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Ann Tedder of Vicksburg; one granddaughter; his mother, Ann D. Morris of Vicksburg; and brother, James Martin Morris Jr. (Elaine) of Clinton.

He was predeceased by his father, James Martin Morris Sr.; sister, Anne Martin (Marti) Morris; paternal grandparents, George and Mildred Morris; and maternal grandparents, Marion and Calla Dewees.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Cary Stockett, pastor of Crawford Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the service.

Pallbearers will be Mark Conerly, Paul Conerly, David Conerly, Taylor Rowland, Toney Cummins and Jay Collins.

Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Lee Giffin.
