Rosa Mae Gaston Miller

ROLLING FORK — Rosa Mae Gaston Miller, 94, passed away at University Medical Center on Nov. 17, 2012.
Born on June 7, 1918, in Ackerman, she was married to John Wesley Miller and had resided at their family home in Rolling Fork since 1939.
While in Rolling Fork, she was a faithful member of Deer Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Her church, friends and serving her Lord and Savior were a source of great joy.
Gran, as she was known by most, was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, but most of all she was beloved by her family and friends. Some of her happiest moments came from spending time with them and cooking family dinners.
Rosa Mae was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Miller; daughter, Carol Ann Kay; grandson Joshua Miller West; and stepsons, John Edward Miller and Hanion Miller.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita West and husband Randy of Mandeville, La.; grandchildren, Kathy Langworthy and husband John of Clinton, Landry Kay and wife Searcy of Moss Point, Allyson Lavender and husband Dan of Irvine, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Jordan Langworthy, Tori Langworthy, Olivia Kay, Miller Kay and Thomas Lavender; stepchildren, Nadalyn Cotton of Metairie, La., Lamar Miller and wife Juanita of Gainesville, Fla., and LaNell Alford of Jackson, Tenn.
Visitation will be at Glenwood Funeral Home from 5 until 7 tonight, Nov. 19. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at Deer Creek Baptist Church in Rolling Fork on Tuesday, Nov. 20.
The family has requested that memorials be made to Deer Creek Baptist Church or the Baptist Children’s Village.
