What am I missing?

Why is the president going on the road at great taxpayer expense to, according to the morning news, take his case to the public about financial reform and budget cuts? I thought that is why we elect people to represent us in Washington so the president would not have to travel to every corner of the country.

If this is the new way of conducting business, when will he come to Mississippi to get our input. I should like to have equal treatment with all the other places he is visiting.

I’d like to tell him that when I turned 65, Aetna would no longer give me medical coverage and was told I had to go on Medicare. I was perfectly happy to pay for my private insurance. I knew doctors would not refuse to take Aetna if the USA ran out of money. Since the passage of the health care bill, I have been told I would have to pay up front at the new medical facility on South Frontage Road before seeing a doctor, and because I am a healthy person and not on medications, I decided to go online and check my symptons there.

For the record, I highly recommend the Mayo clinic site for excellent diagnosis results. Also, they provide good treatment suggestions that you can do for yourself.

In conclusion, If we no longer need Congress to represent us, just the president, let’s just cut the fat and bring them home. Most people believe they are representing themselves anyway.
