UTICA — William Herman “Buster” Franklin died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at his home in Utica. He was 56.

Mr. Franklin was born March 14, 1956, in Port Gibson. He attended school in Bentonia and later served in the Marine Corps. He spent most of his working life as a long-haul truck driver.

He was a member of Utica Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Franklin of Zavala, Texas.

He is survived by three sons, Michael Franklin and William Franklin, both of Pearl, and Robert Franklin of Yazoo City; his parents, Will T. and Bessie Franklin of Utica; one brother, Dennis Franklin of Utica; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was Sunday at Utica Christian Church.
