The Vicksburg Missy Gators will start the playoffs a day early.

The team’s Class 5A first-round game against New Hope, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was moved to today at 5 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.

VHS coach Karen Carroll said the switch was made Sunday because of a schedule conflict. New Hope coach Mary Nagy oversees both the girls and boys teams, and the boys play a first-round game Tuesday at Ridgeland.
