September trials set in Lee Road nightclub killing

A Vicksburg man accused of murder in a shooting death outside a bar and two women accused of aiding him will stand trial in September.
Jarvis D. Jones, 20, who lives on First North Street, was arraigned this week after being indicted by the Warren County grand jury for murder.
Deann Shanta Sims, 23, who lives on Second Avenue, and Makita Latrice Turner, 25, who shares a home with Jones, were arraigned this week after being indicted for accessory after the fact to murder.
Circuit Judge M. James Chaney set trial for Jones for Sept. 15, and he set separate trials for Sims and Turner for Sept. 22.
Jones is accused of killing 27-year-old Willie Swartz during an argument at in the early morning hours of June 21 in the parking lot of Starlight Lounge, 4757 Lee Road, Sheriff Martin Pace has said.
Jones fled the shooting scene with Sims and Turner, Pace has said.
Other indictments, including name, age, the charge and arrest or offense date, released this by the District Attorney’s Office following arraignments or waiver of arraignment this week include:

In addition, two women, identified only as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, were indicted for burglary in a break in that occurred Oct. 29 in the 4900 block of Halls Ferry Road.
A second set of arraignments are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the circuit courtroom.
