Zeke West Memorial Bass Tournament

The Tallulah Bass Club will host its sixth annual Zeke West Memorial Bass Tournament on March 1 from 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Lake Bruin. Boats will launch from Lake Bruin State Park and the lake is off-limits the week of Feb. 23-28. First place prize is $1,000. The entry fee per boat is $100, plus an optional $10 big bass pot.  Vicksburg Girls Softball registration

Registration for the Vicksburg Girls Softball Association’s 2014 fastpitch season is open until March 10 for players ages 5-18. Registration forms are at Hobie’s and Just Duett Sports. Cost is $45 per child.

 Clear Creek Ladies golf registration

The Clear Creek Ladies Golf Association will open its season on Saturday. Activities will begin at 10 a.m. in the Clear Creek clubhouse and, weather permitting, the Ladies will play an opening round of golf. Women golfers of any skill level are invited. Run Thru History registration open

The 35th annual Run Thru History 10K run and 5K race walk is scheduled for March 1 in the Vicksburg National Military Park. The entry fee for the race is $25 for the run and walk, and $12 for the children’s 1-mile fun run before Feb. 24, and $30 after that date.

Gator A-Club meeting scheduled

The Vicksburg High School Gator A-Club, the school’s athletic booster organization, will hold a meeting on Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. in the athletics conference room at the Vicksburg Warren School District offices on Mission 66. The meeting is to discuss VHS’ athletic banquet.
