Katie Mae Neal, died on March 2, 2014, at her home. She was 62.
Mrs. Neal was born April 17, 1951, to the late Ira and Mary Reed in Bovina. She was a homemaker, and was baptized at Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. James Williams.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia “Sista” Ivory and Rosie “Lee Lee” Nelson; and three brothers, Leonard “L.B.” Cook, George Henry “Jack” Reed and Robert Lee “Bob” Reed Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Crissy Neal of Vicksburg; five sons, Karl Neal of Redwood, Kendrick Neal of Oklahoma City, Okla., Kevin Neal, Keith Neal and Kyle Neal, all of Vicksburg; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Ivory Mae Rushing of Chicago; brother, Bruce Reed of Bovina; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Darron George officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hebron M. B. Church Cemetery in Bovina.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
