David Andrew “Butch” Thomas died Friday, March 14, 2014, at his sister’s home in Jackson. He was 56.
Mr. Thomas was a graduate of Utica Jr. College, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Rogers Thomas and Rose Lee Thomas; and his grandmother, Alda Taylor Moffet.
Survivors include four sisters, Barbra J. Tyler of Flowood, Deborah D. Flowers of Baton Rouge, La., Donna L. Thomas of Jackson, and Alda E. Thomas of Lithonia, Ga.; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Mount Calvary M.B. Church with Rev. Kemp Burley officiating, and under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
