A boil water notice will be in effect for 250 homes in the Yokena-Jeff Davis Water District while a new water line is installed.

The affected area stretches from 12370 U.S. 61 South north to Bodies Drive, said Pam Stokes of the district office. It picks up Kirkland Road and all its side streets, she said.

The district serves about 1,000 customers in south Warren County.
