In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:
• Lawanda Brown, 28, who lives on Alcorn Drive, pleaded guilty to simple assault of a law enforcement officer and was sentenced by Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to one year in prison followed by four years’ probation and $584.50 in costs. Brown, who must complete an anger management class within six months of her release from prison, was arrested Nov. 9, 2012.
• John Phillip Hart, 26, who lives on Sherman Avenue, pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Chaney to Ninth Circuit Drug Court for a period not to exceed five years, a $1,000 fine, $4,500 restitution and $1,309.50 in costs. Hart was indicted in October.
• Andrew Cory Martin, 24, who lives on Biggers Court, pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Chaney to Ninth Circuit Drug Court for a period not to exceed five years, a $1,000 fine, $500 restitution and $1,309.50 in costs. Martin was indicted in October.
• Errick Leamont Smith, 41, who reported he was homeless, pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon after felony conviction and was sentenced by Chaney to five years in prison followed by five years’ probation, a $2,000 fine and $884.50 in costs. Smith was arrested Aug. 20.
• Tiron Williams, 28, who lives on Gibson Street, pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling and was sentenced by Chaney to two years in prison followed by five years’ probation, a $2,000 fine and $934.50 in costs. Williams was indicted in July.
• Darius Wade, 45, of Port Gibson, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, and was sentenced by Chaney to four years in prison to include Extended Alcohol and Drug Treatment, followed by four years’ probation, a $2,000 fine and $884.50 in costs. Wade was indicted in October.
