Jack David Bufkin Sr.

Jack David Bufkin Sr. died at his residence on Sunday, April 13, 2014. He was 80.
He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Gibson and worked for LeTourneau for over 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, coaching softball, and umpiring.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Bufkin; grandson, Lambert Culley; parents, Henry D. Bufkin Sr. and Mary E. “Bessie” Bufkin; brothers, Henry Delmar Bufkin, Thomas Bufkin, Luther Bufkin, Charles Bufkin, and Billy Bufkin; sisters, Lula Bliss, Annie Fortner, Mary Webster, Doris McIlvoy, and Hazel Bufkin.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Scallions Bufkin of Vicksburg; his children, Valynda (George) Culley of Port Gibson, Jack (Debra) Bufkin Jr., Janet Scallions, Ken (Melissa) Bufkin, Melinda (Kenny) Hinson, Pam (Bo) Wright, and Todd (Davi) Scallions, all of Vicksburg; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother Henry Bufkin Jr. of Port Gibson; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Clemts officiating. Burial will follow at Hermanville Cemetery in Hermanville.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Bufkin, Brian Culley, Justin Bufkin, Tristen Watson, Michael Bufkin, Robert Bufkin, Ural Bliss, Jr., and Jerry Bufkin. Honorary pallbearers will be all his nephews.
