CRIME REPORT: Teen, juveniles charged with burglary

A Vicksburg teen and two juveniles caught breaking into buildings at Halls Ferry Park on Sunday have been charged with burglary.

Michael Uzzle, 19, who lives on Falk Steel Road, and two juveniles were arrested at 11 p.m. Sunday at Halls Ferry Park, 257 Halls Ferry Park Road, and charged with burglary after Watch Commander Eddie London caught them breaking into buildings, Vicksburg police Lt. Sandra Williams said.

Uzzle was set to appear in Vicksburg Municipal Court this morning. The two juveniles were held this morning in the Warren County Youth Detention Center.

Man charged with dealing synthetic pot

A Vicksburg man accused of selling synthetic marijuana was held without bail this morning.

Jimmy Knight, 26, who lives on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. Friday and charged with two counts of sale of synthetic marijuana and possession of synthetic marijuana, Vicksburg police Lt. Sandra Williams said.

Knight was set to appear in Vicksburg Municipal Court this morning.

 

Three held for felony domestic violence

Three people accused of aggravated domestic violence in separate cases were held without bail this morning.

At 12:07 p.m. Saturday, Makita Turner, 26, who lives on Alpine Street, was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic violence after stabbing her boyfriend multiple times, Vicksburg police Lt. Sandra Williams said.

The stabbing victim was taken to River Region Medical Center where he was treated and released, Williams said.

At 5 p.m. Saturday, Eddie Ford II, 40, who lives on First North Street, was arrested and charged with domestic aggravated violence by strangulation after strangling his girlfriend, Williams said.

At 2 p.m. Sunday, Byron Griffin, 26, who lives on Washington Street, was arrested on Iowa Boulevard and charged with aggravated domestic violence after strangling his girlfriend, Williams said.

All three were set to appear in Vicksburg Municipal Court this morning.

 

Computer, air conditioner missing

A computer and air conditioner were missing this morning following separate thefts over the weekend in Vicksburg.

At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, a laptop computer was reported stolen from a 2010 Chevrolet Impala in the 1600 block of Main Street, Vicksburg police Lt. Sandra Williams said.

At noon Sunday, an air conditioning unit valued at $1,800 was reported stolen from the 200 block of Hillside Drive.
