A Vicksburg man charged with attempted aggravated assault was held without bail this morning.
Darran Berry, 21, 280-A Tully St., was arrested at 4 a.m. today in the 1900 block of South Street on a warrant for attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
The warrant stems from a disturbance July 16 near Locust and Jefferson streets, she said.
Berry was held at police headquarters this morning awaiting his initial court appearance.
Gun, holster missing
A gun and holster were missing this morning following an auto burglary reported Wednesday in Vicksburg.
At 7:15 p.m. a Colt .45-caliber pistol valued at $900 and a holster valued at $45 were reported stolen from a 2004 Ford F-250 on Melborn Place.
Melborn place is a single block street that runs south from Clay Street parallel to the east edge of the south loop of Vicksburg National Military Park.
