Bail denied in shooting

Bail was denied for a Warren County man accused of aggravated assault in a shooting near First East and Openwood Streets.
Warren County Judge Johnny Price denied bail for Albert Buchanan, 19, 365 Drayton Road.
Buchanan is accused of shooting Levi Branch, 21, 120 Redhawk Road, at about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 9, according to police records.
Buchanan was arrested Friday by Hinds County deputies in Jackson after police received an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers, according to police records.
Police have also issued a warrant for Jeremy Bailey, 20, 1504 Lummie St., but he had not been arrested this morning.
Anyone with information about Bailey is encouraged to call Vicksburg police at 601-636-2511 or Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 601-355-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of a felony suspect. Callers remain anonymous and do not have to testify in court.
Electronics hot in burglaries
Electronic were missing this morning following four burglaries Monday in Vicksburg and Warren County.
At 7:45 a.m. Monday, two 10-inch speakers valued at $100 each and a Pioneer car stereo system valued at $350 were reported stolen from a 2006 Jeep Wrangler on Bellaire Drive, according to police records.
At 8:01 a.m., a Garmin global positioning system valued at $150 was reported stolen from a Dodge Caravan in the 700 block of Savage Road, according to Warren County sheriff’s records.
At 8:25 a.m. a Ford truck in the 700 block of Savage Road was also reported broken into, but nothing was missing, according to sheriff’s records.
At 8:30 a.m., a 32-inch Sony television valued at $350, a VCR, an air conditioner valued $150 and clothing valued at $400 were reported stolen from the 2200 block of Janette Street, according to police records.
