A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college football games played over the weekend
• Kentucky safety A.J. Stamps (Vicksburg High) had eight total tackles, including four solos and one for loss, and a leaping one-handed interception in a 59-14 rout of Tennessee-Martin.
• Mississippi State punter Devon Bell (Warren Central) averaged 39.8 yards on four punts, and put three of them inside the 20-yard line, in a 49-0 win over Southern Miss. Bell also had one touchback on seven kickoffs.
• Southern Miss offensive lineman Norman Price (Vicksburg High) started at right tackle in his first game for the Golden Eagles.
• Louisiana Tech cornerback Adairius Barnes (Port Gibson) had three solo tackles in a 48-16 loss to No. 4 Oklahoma.
