Man accused of shooting at girlfriend jailed

A Vicksburg man accused of shooting at his girlfriend was held without bail this morning.

David Evans, 28, 1214 W. Magnolia St., was arrested at about 1:10 a.m. today at his home and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a felon, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Evans went to his girlfriend’s home at about 12:40 a.m. today and broke out a window, Williams said. When the woman came outside, he took a shot at her but missed, Williams said.

Evans was held without bail this morning in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility awaiting an initial court appearance before Warren County Judge Johnny Price.

 

One held for drug court

A Washington County man was held in the Warren County jail this morning for drug court.

Robert Johnson, 25, 1017 Sanders St. Hollandale, was held this morning for a drug court sanction.
