Ricky McKenzie died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at his home in Michigan City of an apparent heart attack. He was 57.

Born in Vicksburg, he was the son of the late Gerald Cecil McKenzie and Frances Lorene Morrow McKenzie. He was a graduate of Vicksburg High School.

Mr. McKenzie was an employee of Toyota Manufacturing Co. in Blue Springs, and was the former office manager for Ashworth Engineering in Collierville, Tenn.  He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Dixie Brown McKenzie; two sons, Justin and Joseph McKenzie; brother, Gerald W. McKenzie; and aunts, uncles and friends.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Riles Funeral Home with Robert Conrad, pastor of Wilderness Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Paul Thompkins, Kit Carson Brown, Danny Metts, Joseph McKenzie, Justin McKenzie and James Morrow.
