Fallen tree cuts power in Redwood
Parts of northern Warren County were without power this morning after a tree took down utility poles on Redwood Road.
Sometime around 4 a.m. a storm caused a “very large tree” to fall on Redwood Road between Keen Cole and Oak Ridge roads, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
“It took with it several utility poles. As many as three poles are completely broken and down,” Pace said.
Yazoo Valley Electric Power Association was working this morning to make the area safe for Warren County crews to clear the road, Pace said.
The number of customers without power was not available this morning.
“Currently there is no estimated time of restoral in your area,” said a recorded message at the Yazoo Valley Electrical Power Association office.
