A Port Gibson woman accused of buying a saw with a stolen check was held without bail this morning.
LeTonya Smith, 36, 196 Old Highway 18, Port Gibson, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for false pretense, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Smith is accused of using a stolen check to purchase a pole saw from a business in the 600 block of U.S. 80 on July 25, Pace said.
An investigation lead to the person whose name was on the check who said the check had been stolen, Pace said. Smith was identified though surveillance video at the business, Pace said.
Smith was held without bail this morning awaiting her initial court appearance.
