Lynda Stephens

UTICA — Lynda Marie Stephens died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. She was 74.

A lifelong resident of Utica, she retired in 1996 from Jerry’s Appliance Store where she was a bookkeeper.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan William Stephens; two brothers, Edgar Harold “Bubba” Puckett and Paul Howard Puckett; and her sister, Lela Mae Layne.

Survivors include her two daughters, Dana Brewer of Providence City, Texas, and Stephanie Price of Crystal Springs; one son, William Neill “Sammy” Stephens of Abeline, Texas; sister, Earlene Hood of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica with Dr. Rocky Henriques officiating. Burial will follow at Utica Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ken Brewer, Jeff Price, Steve Hammond, Mark Puckett, Perry Gaddy and Daniel Slay.
