OIL TANK CATCHES FIRE

DIRT WORKS: Vicksburg firefighters work to contain a fire this morning at Dirt Works, 2222 Warrenton Road. Workers were cutting an out-of-service oil tank for scrap metal when the direct flame from a cutting torch ignited the rubber lining the tank, battalion chief Craig Danczyk said. Firefighters suppressed the fire and vapors using a foam blanket and no injuries were reported at the time of the fire.
