Ex-WC star Davis earns MACJC honor

The best game of Kourey Davis’ college basketball career garnered state-level acclaim.
The former Warren Central star who is now a freshman at Hinds Community College was selected the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Davis earned the award after putting up 25 points, four rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes during an 86-81 win over Delgado (La.) on Nov. 24.
Davis currently leads Hinds in points (16.0 per game), assists (3.4) and is second on the team in rebounding (5.3).
Davis and the Bulldogs will host Copiah-Lincoln Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Utica.
