Five convicted in Circuit Court

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:

• Lance Burton, 27, 3749 Gowall Road, pleaded guilty to felony shoplifting and was sentenced by Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick to four years in prison followed by five year’s probation, a $1,000 fine, $170 restitution and $584.50 in costs. Burton was indicted in October 2012.

• Alton Wayne Jackson, 50, no address available, was found guilty of violating a sentenced to Ninth Circuit Drug Court for third-offense driving under the influence and sentenced by Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to three years in prison followed by two year’s probation. Jackson was indicted in October 2009.

• Marilyn Ann Martin, 49, 125 E. Davis St., Jackson, pleaded guilty to felony shoplifting and was sentenced by Patrick to five year’s probation, a $2,000 fine and $584.50 in costs. Martin was indicted in May.

• Dwayne Charles O’Quinn, 47, no address available, pleaded guilty to sale of cocaine and was sentenced by Patrick to three years in prison followed by five year’s probation and $884.50 in costs. O’Quinn was indicted in May.

• Brent Jamal Shelby, 21, 1990 Royal St., was found guilty of violating probation for burglary and sentenced by Chaney to three years in prison. Shelby was indicted in January 2012.
