Heavyn Mickaela Sanderford

Heavyn Mickaela Sanderford died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at River Region Medical Center. She was 15.

Heavyn was born in Jackson and was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg.  She was a member of the Apostolic Church of Vicksburg.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Gerald “Candy” Sanderford and her paternal grandmother, Velma Mae Ferguson Pitts.

Survivors include her parents, Danny Paul and Mary Costillo Sanderford, of Vicksburg; her brother, Michael Paul Sanderford, of Vicksburg; her sisters, Sylvia Emfinger of Bentonia, and Laura Ayers of Jackson; her maternal grandparents, Charlie Costillo and Ruthie Mae Costillo, both of Vicksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 20, 2015 at the Apostolic Church of Vicksburg, 2750 Mississippi 27, with the Rev. John Parks, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Apostolic Church Cemetery in Bentonia. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at the church.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Uzzle, John Michael Ogle, Trent Parks, Toby Parks, Cody Parks and Tyler Emfinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Millard Parks and Dylen Blackley.
