Services for Fred Sims Sr. will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnnie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation hour will be Friday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Sims died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at his home. He was 90.

He was a retired salesman for Wonder Bread Corp., and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Sara Jackson Sims; his wife, Rosie Lee Sims; his brothers, Albert Sims, Leroy Sims and Floyd Sims; and his sisters, Willie Sims Woods, Blanche Sims Williams and Clara Sims Smith.

Survivors include his son, Fred Sims Jr. of Vicksburg; daughters Sara J. Sims-Red of Vicksburg and Dianne K. Sims of Oakland, Calif.; sisters, Gladys Sims Cross of Vicksburg, Zelma Sims Hardwick of Bolton and Thelma Sims Duke of Atlanta.
