Lucille Imogene Ray

MARION, Ill. — Lucille Imogene Ray of Marion, formerly of Long Beach, died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at home. She was 86.
Mrs. Ray was born Nov. 21, 1928, in Dover, Tenn., the daughter of Trenton and Sally (Gafford) Nelson.
She was united in marriage to Thomas H. Ray on Oct. 6, 1960, in Granite City, Ill., and together they shared over 41 years of marriage until his death in 2002.
She was a homemaker and was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryle (Ray) Keck of Marion, Ruth Ann Greenlee and Pamala Bull, both of Vicksburg; son, James Patrick Dean of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Ann Nelson and Claudell Mitchell, both of Granite City, Ill., and Jeanne Thedford of Alton, Ill.; two brothers, LeRoy Nelson of Denton, Texas, and Ed Ray of Granite City, Ill.; and other extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas H. Ray; daughter, Linda Carol Dean; and son, Bruce Allen Dean.
Arrangements for Lucille I. Ray have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court St., Marion.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
