Linnie Mae Johnson Adams

Linnie Mae Johnson Adams died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at her home. She was 74.

Born and reared in Edwards, she was educated in Hinds County public schools and was a member of the Church of Christ Holiness, U.S.A.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Johnson Sr. and Esteen Mary Jamerson Johnson; and a sister, Mary Lee Crowder.

Survivors include two sons, Louis Adams Jr., of New Orleans and Curtis Allen Adams of Memphis, Tenn.; four daughters, Ruth Adams of Flint, Mich., Millicent Noel Adams and Clara Adams, both of Pearl, and Vickie Vaughn Adams of Vicksburg; three brothers, Cornelius Johnson of Saginaw, Mich., Jimmy Johnson Jr. of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Lennard Johnson of Edwards; one sister, Barbara Ferguson of Chicago; 16 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service will be Saturday, March 28, 2015.
