WC nips Ridgeland on tennis court

A strong showing in doubles helped Warren Central overcome Ridgeland on Tuesday.

Skyler Gibson and Lauren Davis earned their first victory of the season in girls doubles 7-6, 6-1, and the mixed doubles team of Joseph Jabour and Amanda Boleware won in a tiebreaker 6-7, 6-3, 10-5.

The victory was clinched, however, by a forfeit. Neither of Ridgeland’s boys doubles teams showed up for the match, which gave Warren Central two points and the team victory.
